  • Step 1

    Loosen the coolant Tank cap. Place a drain pan under the left side of the radiator and To loosen itself the radiator drain petcock. Retighten the drain petcock Then all of the coolant has drained of the radiator. to remove the lug key from the top of the radiator. to remove the fixing bolts of the coolant Tank tank. disconnection the Superior coolant pipe and the inferior radiator pipe from the coolant tank. to remove the coolant tank of the engine bay.

    Loosen the large nut fixing the fan to the water pump pulley use the fan nut wrench. to remove the Superior radiator pipe and the bolts possession the fan shroud. elevator the fan mounting and the fan assembly together out of the engine bay and set aside.

    Loosen but do not to remove the four bolts possession the water pump pulley. Use a 3/8-inch order ratchet key to to relieve the pressure on the Girdle tensioner and to remove the serpentine belt. completion backing out the four pulley bolts and to remove the pulley. to remove the camshaft and coolant probe wiring Catches and movement them aside. to remove the four bolts possession the Superior coolant pipe onto the water pump. to remove the attach holding the heater pipe onto the water pump and to remove the hose.

    Loosen and to remove the nine fixing bolts of the water pump and to remove the water pump of the engine bay. to remove the coolant the temperature sensor and the thermostat of the old water pump and to install them on the new water pump use thread sealant. to install the metal coolant tube on the new water pump. to install the "O" ring on the back of the water pump and to apply sealant.

  • Step 5

    Reattach the new water pump to the engine block use the nine fixing bolts. To replug the heater hose, Superior radiator hose, and the coolant and camshaft probe plugs. to install the water pump pulley, to leave the four fixing bolts loose. To reinstall the serpentine Girdle and to tighten the four pulley bolts. elevator the fan mounting and fan in the engine bay. to attach the fan mounting bolts. use the fan nut wrench, to attach the fan to the water pump pulley.

  • Step 6

    Reinstall the coolant tank and Superior and inferior radiator hoses. to remove the cap of the coolant tank and add 4 gallons of antifreeze, 4 gallons of distilled water, and one bottle of coolant conditioner. Screw the cap back on the coolant tank and beginning the engine. to leave engine to run a few minutes and Control for leaks. to tighten any connections as needed. Add more coolant if the level is not enter the minimum and maximum marks on the coolant tank.
