Step 1 Turn the lighting key to the "On" position, but don't beginning the engine. Step 2 Turn the direction wheel so that the front wheels are pointing directly ahead. Step 3 Turn the lighting key to the "Off" or "Lock" position. Step 4 Detach the ground battery cable use a wrench. Step 5 Wait at minors 90 seconds for the system to to disarm if your Toyota T100 is equipped with an air-bag system. Step 6 Take the Superior and inferior steering column covers off, use a Philips screwdriver. Step 7 Remove the direction wheel center pad. to look at at the back of the direction wheel for cavity screws, and to unscrew the pad use the Philips screwdriver. If there are no screws, simply traction the pad off with your fingers. If your Toyota is equipped with an air-bag system, to remove the Torx screw on the right-hand side side and the left side of the direction wheel. Use a Torx driver to turn each one screw In the contrary direction of the needles of a watch until the head of the screw hooks on the screw case. Then traction the center pad out, and To disconnect the bag élém. élect. connector. Place the center pad on the sit with the pad cover coating up. Step 8 Use correction fluid to matchmark the direction wheel hub and the direction column center for alignment during reinstallation. Step 9 Detach the direction wheel of the direction column by Elimination the center nut with a rachet and socket. Step 10 Use a pairs of Rupture ring Grips to to remove the center Rupture ring if your Toyota is equipped with one. Step 11 Detach the direction wheel of the direction wheel column use a direction wheel puller. Step 12 Locate the left and right-hand side combination switches. each one switch has a lever. One switch orders the headlights and dimmer; the other orders the windshield wiper and washer. Use a Philips screwdriver to to unscrew the Superior and inferior screw on each one switch to to remove the switches. Step 13 Unplug the lighting switch élém. élect. connector. Step 14 Unscrew the simple mounting bolt of the lighting switch use the Philips screwdriver, and to remove the switch of the direction column. Step 15 Place the new lighting switch in position, and to tighten the simple mounting bolt with the Philips screwdriver. Step 16 Plug in the lighting switch élém. élect. connector. Step 17 In opposite order of removal, and use the same tools as above, To reinstall the left and right-hand side combination switches, the direction wheel (following the matchmarks), the center Rupture ring (if so equipped), the direction wheel column center nut, the direction wheel center pad and the Superior and inferior steering column covers. Step 18 Using the wrench, To replug the ground battery cable.
